People & Community
At Nuprint we place great value on our staff and understand that it’s their skills and passion which drive us forward as a business. Managing Director, Gavin Killeen believes that people are paramount to Nuprint’s success. Gavin places a strong emphasis on personal and professional development, constantly investing in team training and other opportunities whilst promoting their general health and wellbeing through workshops and other activities. We support the local community through school visits, and are active members of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, Business in the Community and Arts and Business Northern Ireland.

Staff Wellbeing
We seek to support all Nuprint staff both personally and professionally. Our ‘Always Learning’ company value underpins our commitment to continuous training and up-skilling for staff at all levels. We combine this with pastoral care through our ‘Wellbeing Programme’. We’ve covered topics including: healthy eating, mental health awareness, alcohol and drug abuse, ‘Work and Me’ and cancer awareness. We offer employee health checks and once a month our ‘Healthy Lunch Day’ initiative means that staff get their 5-a-day.

Nurturing Future Talent
We operate a successful apprenticeship system and have excellent relationships with Belfast Metropolitan College and the North West Regional College. We employ a number of apprentices throughout the year across various roles in the business. Management development and training also forms a key element in our aim to further the careers of our staff while growing the business. Senior staff have benefitted from training in Management, Coaching and Mentoring Skills and Performance Management while all staff can take advantage of a whole range of job specific courses. We work closely with ‘School Employer Connections’ and regularly provide work experience for students from local schools. We accommodate foreign language student placements and our team actively supports Young Enterprise.
Supporting Our Community
Whether it’s visiting schools to talk about the print industry, showing students around our factory, or participating in local events – Nuprint is keen to support the community wherever we can.
We supported our neighbouring local food bank during the COVID-19 pandemic – we provided extra storage for their offering. Since then our relationship has gone from strength to strength and we are proud partners of this worthy cause.
Permanent staff have the opportunity to join the Hospital Saturday Fund (HSF) and the Government’s ‘Cycle to Work Scheme’ is open to eligible employees. We also support Foyle Hospice with our annual Christmas party – complete with a visit from Santa Claus himself.
Nuprint is a member of Sedex, underpinning our commitment to ethical sourcing and responsible trading. We aim to provide the best possible working environment for our staff. We’re active members in the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and Arts & Business Northern Ireland.
