Field Day

Field Day was born in 2002, by Alix Mulholland who was, “inspired to capture and bottle the native scents from the fragrant field of our Irish countryside.” The company is famed for its use of native Irish scents which celebrate Ireland’s wildflowers. Their range includes multi-award winning candles, diffusers, wax melts, fresheners, accessories and hand wash and is stocked in specialist retail outlets, boutique stores, hotels and B&Bs.

Alix approached Nuprint in 2020 for labels to support their extensive range of products.  She required a wide variety of formats, that also had the dual challenge of needing to be coloured matched. Colour consistency and texture were prime considerations for this project.

We worked directly with owner and founder, Alix facilitating onside factory visits, in-person meetings, sampling and extensive quality checks. Given the intricate nature of the project it was essential that we instilled confidence and reassurance in the relationship. At Nuprint we value all our client relationships and pride ourselves on always going the extra mile to help guide and support our customers.

We had to bear in mind the use of multiple formats and very bespoke colours, as the labels were essentially ‘stuck’ to the products the colours had to be an exact match. We also had to contend with different formats from boxes to pouches and ensuring each element was 100% correct and fit for purpose. Lastly, an amount of the products were for bathroom use which also presented unique challenges in terms of durability and combating moisture.

Given these unique set of circumstances, we used uncoated paper and PP plastic as the material and ensured everything was sustainable – as this is a core value of Field Day. We worked closely with the design team to match the soft, understated colour palette that characterises the brand.

We successfully produced the labels required for the initial order and have an ongoing relationship with Field Day and Alix. We look forward to our continued work with Field Day, and their upcoming new seasonal range which is in the pipeline.
